TiGames released their debut VR title, Ancient Amuletor for PSVR back in June 2017 and then brought the game over to Steam for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift in December. Since then, the studio has released their first DLC for the game, called Into The Ice that added another playable character named Kane to the game. The developers then announced another DLC for PSVR called The Void but no further news has been shared about that one. However, now their second DLC, called Blossom Dance, has been released as well.
We’re not quite sure why this DLC’s hasn’t made its way to the PC VR headsets as well, but either way, PSVR owners are probably pretty amped to get their paws on some new content. As for Vive and Rift owners, they’ll likely just have to wait and see if the Blossom Dance DLC gets released for free on Steam like Into The Ice was.
Blossom Dance adds new maps to the game along with a new playable character named Chiyo – a foxy samurai from the Orient who looks charming but is deadly with a blade. You get to play this character as you face off against two new goblin enemies, including the Gilder Goblin and Balin Goblin. But probably one of the more interesting additions comes in the form of a legendary boss – the Kraken. I’m not entirely sure how a samurai and a Kraken go together, story-wise, but nevertheless, you’ll get to see both in action once you’ve downloaded the new Blossom Dance DLC.
See Chiyo in action in the trailer below:
If you’re not familiar with Ancient Amuletor, it’s a mix between tower defense and first-person competitive gameplay that’s set in an ancient fantasy world. This game let’s you do battle with mystical and legendary creatures as you protect what’s yours – alone or with friends in an up to three player cooperative mode.
The Blossom Dance and Into The Ice DLCs are available now on the PlayStation Store for PSVR in a DLC Collection bundle, priced at $2.99. While the first DLC was released as a free add-on, you can currently only get Blossom Dance via the paid bundle.
