Viking Rage is a tower defense game with a Norse theme. In Viking Rage, you get to jump right into the action to protect your Viking stronghold from the storming enemies that threaten your existence. So make sure to move around your village to the most strategic points so you can get the best vantage when sticking it to the enemy. As the developer says, “There will be unusual lands, witty weapons and all kinds of enemies to discover. Let Thor guide you and reach the Norse war frenzy!”

In this game, you will get to walk with your head held high, as a mighty Viking. You get to channel that battle rage that the Vikings are known for, and unleash your own hellish fury. Swing your ax or string your bow and fight against daunting (albeit low-poly) enemies that range from worgs to trolls to kobolds.
In fact, there is a myriad of mythical creatures that you’ll get to go up against in the game. Beat them up any brutal way you like and see if their blood runs red, blue or green. They all have it in for the fortress of the Vikings so you have to protect your home with all the might you can muster. And there should be a lot. You are a Viking after all.
It’s A Tower Defense Game With A Viking Theme
Beyond the great theme, I wouldn’t say there’s much that sets Viking Rage apart from many other tower defense games. You’ve got your space to protect, with hordes of enemies coming your way in waves or in singular fashion (if it’s a boss). But that’s not to say it isn’t fun. Virtual reality adds an element of excitement that you won’t otherwise get from a TD game, of course, but more than that, there’s the challenge of working out where to be at the right time and what the best defense will be. Plus I really like the design of the environments in the game.
Also, when it comes to this game, clicking quickly won’t afford you much. You have plenty of weapons at your disposal as well – of the offensive and defensive kind. There are longbows and crossbows, axes, bombs, and you can even activate traps. All of which, if used at the correct time, will surprise and kill those bastards who are trying to overrun your village and kill your babes.
At one point, with a little imagination, you can even pretend you’re a member of The Night’s Watch defending Castle Black from a deadly ice giant. This is a must play if you love TD games. So raise your horn to Odin himself and start on your rampage on the 28th.
