Black River Studios, the studio behind Gear VR titles like Angest, Finding Monsters Adventure, and Rock & Rails has announced their latest title for the platform, called Conflict 0: Shattered. The game is a free to play shooter and takes you to a fictional country called Navaha after a civil war ended 35 years ago.
This game is the first episode in a series and takes you through the post-war landscape. Now the last Sovereign has been located and must be destroyed. Who better for the job than you, of course. Your mission is to infiltrate the base to locate the target and eliminate them. The game is anything but ordinary though, as you’ll work with a specially modified old war robot to fight off and infiltrate the enemy base.
Check out the trailer for Conflict 0: Shattered below:
You’ll have to Infiltrate the base using stealth in order to open a path for your robot ally. Though sometimes stealth isn’t as much of an option so you’ll have to brandish your sword for dueling or to open a path or shoot your way through several waves of enemies.
Conflict 0: Shattered is now available to download for Gear VR on the Oculus Store. It’s compatible with all input options offered by the device, including the Gear VR Controller, on-board touchpad, and bluetooth gamepad.
Right now there’s no word on how many episodes there will be in this series, nor when they will be released. But it’s free and looks like an exciting sci-fi title that will keep you entertained for a while. So if you’re in the mood for facing off against robots with laser swords this holiday then it’s certainly worth a shot.
