The developers over at Anshar Studios have been tight lipped about their mystery update for Detached for a while now. However, the day has finally come. Close on the heels of their recent announcement of adding a PSVR version of the game, we now know that they are also going cross-platform for their PVP game mode.
This is great news as the game is currently available on the Rift and Vive, however finding players can sometimes be a task unto itself. With support coming to WMR, PSVR, and even non-VR PC, the cross-platform functionality should help build a larger pool of online players.
Still Not for the Faint of Heart
Released back in May of 2017, Detached impressed players with its beautifully designed environments and lightning fast gameplay. That is, if you are not the least bit prone to motion sickness. Even at proper frame rates, this game will test your VR legs, in the best possible way.
The update will also bring an expanded single player mode along for the ride. More maps are being added for the Race Mode and the single player story mode is getting 30 minutes of additional gameplay. Best of all, you don’t have to wait a year for all this to roll out. The update drops on Steam, July 6th. As always, man up and keep your barf bags handy VR gamers.
