Laying waste to hordes of anything in VR never truly gets old. Yes we take our breaks but we will always come back for more. DWVR is one of many shooters for Rift and Vive that keeps that itch satisfied. It has a wide range of weapons, fast paced action, and best of all it has wave after wave of brutal enemies to destroy. Now, all that action-packed goodness will be headed to PSVR (PlayStation VR).
DWVR has been around on Steam for almost a year now, in early access, and it’s had a fairly positive reception. Generally, the only complaints revolved around the developer’s use of teleportation locomotion. This has been addressed by adding in traditional locomotion and it would seem that Mad Triangles is looking to give the PSVR version the same treatment.
Out of Early Access and Into the Fire
The PSVR version of DWVR will be a full release version of the game. Great news for PC players as it is expected to usher in the end of the early access Steam version. Unfortunately we cant give you an exact date on when that will be. It will feature support for the Dual Shock, Move Controllers, and the AIM Controller. Swords, spells, guns and AIM Controllers! What more could you want? How about a creepy Gothic setting as your hunting grounds?
The PSVR version is expected to be priced the same as its Steam version at $14.99 as of now. The developer has also indicated that a September 26th launch is a possibility. Should the game require a little more shine, PSVR players should expect DWVR around October 3rd. In any case, PSVR players should be slaying hordes and rocking out to DWVR’s metal tracks soon enough.
