From Ready at Dawn, the creators of Lone Echo, comes an all new take on their zero gravity esports hit, Echo Arena. It is time to sideline that disc, dust off those thruster skills, and pick up some handguns. Echo Combat is on its way!
The studio announced that the shooter expansion for Echo Arena was almost ready for testing, with an open beta scheduled for June 21st. All you need to do head over here, and sign up for your chance at a slot. We are also starting to get our first looks at some closed beta gameplay of the upcoming release.
Pushing the Line
In addition to the beta announcement, we also got a great trailer that shows off some Echo Combat in action. It would seem that instead of tossing a disc through a goal, one team must try and move a payload across the map while the other defends. Did I mention that the payload is a giant pink flamingo?
The expansion will also bring some new sections to what is, arguably, the best VR game lobby in existence. However, Echo Combat will come at a cost. Upon release, the new content will run you $10.00 on the Oculus Store.
With the success that Echo Arena has seen in the VR esports arena, it is not to stretch to think that Echo Combat won’t be far behind. For your chance to get in on the early action, and provide some valuable feedback, be sure and sign up for the open beta, June 21st.
