It’s been a while since we last checked in with Firewall Zero Hour. The squad-based shooter was first announced back at PSX where it left many fans drooling for more info. More recently, First Contact Entertainment teased fans with a “coming soon” comment. Well, it would seem that the wait is over and fresh new intel is inbound.
A recent PlayStation blog post from Damoun Shabestari, the creative producer at First Contact, is the source of all the good news. In the post we finally see an official release date of August 28. We also now know what pre-order exclusives are available, and info on a PS Aim bundle.
Tactics and Teamwork
If you’re new to Firewall Zero Hour, this tactical FPS revolves around teams of 4 competing to gather intel. Each team of mercenaries has access to a well stocked arsenal of guns and gadgets for every possible situation, including single and multiplayer scenarios. It looks like we will have nine maps at launch that feature locations in Russia, the UK, and the Middle East.
If you are into extra in-game goodies, you might consider pre-ordering your copy of Firewall Zero Hour. Those that do will receive four new avatars and a “Zero Hour Pack”. The pack includes exclusive items, skins, and even double XP for 24 hours.
If you are thinking about picking up an Aim Controller, you can jump in on a bundle option that is expected to be available later today. However, you can play with a DualShock controller if that’s your style. Pre-orders for the digital and physical copies of Firewall Zero Hour are now available on the PlayStation Store for $39.99.
