Vertigo Games, the studio behind the popular VR FPS Arizona Sunshine has announced that industry veteran, Chet Faliszek (seen on the right above) will be joining the team’s advisory board in lieu of a new upcoming game the team is working on. Though no information has been made public about the game yet, this still makes for exciting news because Faliszek is bringing years of industry experience with him, along with his experience as the previous VR ambassador for Valve which put him at the forefront of the industry.
Faliszek still remains on board with Bossa Studios, who he joined after leaving his writer/developer position at Valve, but will be providing the company with strategic counsel as it enters the next phase of growth. “Vertigo was one of the first companies I reached out to when we started assembling our initial roster of developers for the Vive reveal. Their ability [to] adapt and work on emerging technologies is amazing. I can’t wait until they can start sharing what they are working on and their future plans,” said Falizsek.
“Chet has been invaluable to shaping today’s VR market. He helped numerous companies like Vertigo Games take their first steps in VR and we wouldn’t be where we are now without his guidance,” said Richard Stitselaar, Studio Director at Vertigo Games. “Fast forward 5 years and we are excited to have Chet join our advisory board to help take the company to the next level.”
Vertigo Games has two other VR games besides Arizona Sunshine under their belt, including Skyworld and VR integration for World of Diving, so this new mystery game will be the fourth released by the studio. They also announced a DLC for the zombie shooter, called Arizona Sunshine: Dead Man DLC which is set to release across all supported platforms next week.
