If climbing your way around urban landscapes and beating the crap out of gang members is your idea of fun, Fury Fighter VR might be for you. This procedurally generated beat em up game has recently launched on its Steam early access journey. However, it is not for the faint of heart.
No, not due to the violent nature of putting the smack down on a man in a hot dog suit. This warring has more to do with the fact that this release is still very much in the works. In fact, the developers over at CentVire have said that the current release is only a “proof of concept”. After looking at the existing reviews, it is pretty clear that this is very much the case.
The Earlier the Access
In its current build, much of the games features are non-working. The world still needs the bugs worked out, and your pretty much limited to kicking bad guys in a crotch. So, why the hell am I even talking about Fury Fighter VR? The concept looks like fun. With the right amount of feedback and time, this could be a fun way to relive those Streets of Rage days.
Your mission is to save your significant other from a gang that has snatched them away. With no help from the law, you must set out to rescue them and set things right. You punch, kick, and dodge incoming attacks as you work your way through city streets. In addition to the arcade mode, the devs intend to release co-op gameplay with deathmatch and team deathmatch.
Players will even be able to customize their avatar, so you too could one day be the hot dog man. Start planning your revenge now. If you would like to jump in on the Fury Fighter VR Early access, you can pick it up for $8.49 until June 1. After that, the regular price is $9.99.
