Vive Studios and Sixense Studios have partnered up to bring Vive owners a new eSports contender. What better way to kick of a game centered around competition than a chance at glory, and a chance to win a Vive Pro. Yes, you read that right, a Vive Pro. All you need to do is head over to Steam and pick up a copy of SiegeVR, and then become the very best.
This archery-based wave shooter is available now, on Steam, for $8.49 (regular price $9.99). The contest for Steam players will take place on April 30, at 5:00 p.m. PST. The top 10 players on the SiegeVR Steam Leaderboards will earn a free copy of SiegeVR to gift to a friend. However, the very top player, will earn themselves a Vive Pro. That’s a pretty good incentive to get out there and get good.
SiegeVR comes packed with some pretty cool features. Online co-op, local co-op, single and multiplayer game modes are all included. You can play in a fast-paced Gallery mode that focus on speed and quick thinking, or defend a castle in the Siege mode. The game gives you access to various arrow types to counter everything from ground forces to battering rams.
Backing up the competitive gaming goals of SiegeVR is the global leaderboards. Sixense Studios has expressed an interest in ongoing competitive events for home and arcade players. Unfortunately, SiegeVR only supports the HTC Vive at this time, so no love for the Rift or WMR headsets.
