In this epic telling of the origin story of 40k you will engage in turn-based skirmishes, commanding a unit of Ultramarines. Cut down the deceitful Word Bearers as you carve a path through the underground ruins of Calth. You also get to utilize the best war toys the 31st Millennium has to offer, all through the eyes of a Space Marine.
Features and Futures
The folks over at Steel Wool have quite a list of features they want to roll out during the early access. The single-player campaign will have 24 story driven combat scenarios across 5 acts. The plan appears to be to release new multiplayer maps as each campaign act releases. Each map will support Deathmatch and Objective based gameplay.
The Horus Heresy: Betrayal at Calth also supports cross platform matchmaking. So that means PC, Rift, and Vive users can all go head to head. If you feel inclined to enlist now, you will have access to the first act and four multiplayer maps. The Horus Heresy: Betrayal at Calth is available at a -25% discount until March 6. Pick it up on Steam for only $22.49 and be sure to let the developers know what you think!
