VR has plenty of room for all games mech related, even games that made their debut on the PlayStation 2 back in 2003. No joke! Starting September 6, you can jump into your favorite Frame once more, in Hideo Kojima’s Zone Of The Enders: The 2nd Runner – M∀RS.
This futuristic mech game is getting a total overhaul that will feature a 4K makeover, VR support, and some all new content. Best of all, it will be coming to both Steam, and the PlayStation 4 with PSVR support. PS4 players will even get s special “Welcome to Mars” theme and avatars. A demo for the PS4 version is available right now.
From Third to First
If you played the original ZotE, you will no doubt remember that it was purely third-person gameplay. Part of the games makeover was creating a totally new cockpit view that is a natural fit for VR. However, you can seamlessly switch to the classic view point at any time during gameplay.
If you’re in the mood to just dip your sensitive little toes into the chaos and enjoy the games amazing cutscenes, no worries. The game now features an ‘Easy’ mode. For everyone else, laying waste to the Bahram army has never look so good, thanks to the 4K update.
The Steam version supports both the Rift and Vive, but does require a gamepad on both platforms. You can pre-purchase Zone Of The Enders: The 2nd Runner – M∀RS for $29.99 on Steam. PlayStation 4 owners, at least in the EU, can per-purchase at a 10% discount for £24.99
