Some of you might remember our coverage of CBILAB Studios’ story driven game, ManMade, back in January. The Istanbul-based studio had announced that the game would be launching a Kickstarter campaign at the end of February. However, the developers have since sent out a statement regarding a delay in that timetable.
“First, we wanted to say thanks to you and your team for still following our news about ManMade! Once more, we have an update for you, this time it’s about our Kickstarter launch date.
We decided to delay our Kickstarter launch from the end of February to May 2nd, 2018. There is a lot of effort going into completing our gameplay demo so it can launch alongside our campaign. We want our audience to experience ManMade firsthand and deliver the level of quality they expect and deserve.
Our pre-launch referral campaign is running right now and it will be extended until May 2nd. We are also adding a new prize tier: if participants reach “Disruptor” level on our campaign (referred 20 friends), they will be granted access to our gameplay demo in the first week of April.”
It looks like we will have to wait a little while longer to get our first glimpse at what the AI-ruled world of 2050 has to offer. However, it’s hard to fault a developer for wanting to put their best foot forward when it comes to Kickstarter. Let’s just hope we get our hands on some gameplay footage soon!
The referral program seems to be getting an extension, as well as an additional perk. Provided you have twenty friends to refer, you can get your hands on the ManMade demo in April. You can still get in on the other levels of rewards as well, including the five-friend referral for a PC edition of the First Episode.
