We have all been waiting patiently for our VR Jurassic Park experience. After several delays and long periods with no word, it looks like the wait might be over. The official release date is March 22, and it’s now backed up with a beautiful new Ark Park trailer.
The trailer gives us a few glimpses at the ten explorable maps Snail Games has been working on. We also get a look at the wave style shooter that accompanies the park themed game. Whether your style is casual dino breeding or the wholesale slaughter of a once extinct species, Ark Park has you covered.
A Whole New World
It would be hard to deny that Ark Park is an incredibly beautiful looking game. But, will it give us the experience we have been hoping for? The game appears to have a range of experiences to offer. An educational area where players get to study, bread, and get up-close and personal with the massive creatures. This is aimed at new and casual VR gamers.
On the action front, we get a wave shooter experience based around beacon defense. We also get to explore ten maps in single and co-op gameplay. While I enjoy a good wave shooter, hunting dinos with a friend would be far more enjoyable.
Ark Park appears to even have puzzle elements that involve Gene Fragments that you will need to capture dinosaurs. That’s a pretty diverse amount of experiences for one game. With a worldwide release coming March 22, we will anxiously be awaiting to test out each one.
