At long last, Rez Infinite has come to Rift and Vive users everywhere. That’s right, the award-winning game released last year on PlayStationVR has finally come home to the PC where it belongs. Featuring full VR support for both the Rift and Vive, this is one release that has been on everyone’s mind for some time.
Fans of the game will no doubt remember this amazing rhythm based rail shooter back on the PlayStation 2. PlayStationVR owners got a taste of Rez Infinite where it was named as 2016’s VR Game of the Year. Now PC owners will get a chance at the mind-bending shooter with full 4K support. Currently the game is available on Steam for 20% off with free digital deluxe DLC until August 16th.
Fresh and Tasty Free Content
The digital deluxe content includes a nice array of freebies including a set of original Rez avatars. You will also get some nice-looking wallpapers that include concept art from the game. An excerpt from the games art book, iam8bit, and a digital soundtrack sampler with brand new digital tracks are also included. Not a bad haul for free DLC.
Rez Infinite will be available to play in standard desktop mode as well as VR mode, where the game truly shines. It will support both HMD’s controllers, standard controllers, and a keyboard and mouse. Tons of options for you to choose from as you set out to take down that corrupt AI once and for all.
Area X, two new updated stages for Rez Infinite, will also be bundled with the game. These updated areas will allow you to fly around freely, experiencing Rez Infinite in an all new way. Could this the start of a new, virtual, vision for the Rez series? Only time will tell what’s in store for this 16-year-old classic.
