The Early Access “Rock Band” style game, RIFF VR, is rolling right along with its latest major update. Featuring over 20 hit songs, this band simulator lets you play guitar, drums or even show off those pipes with a virtual mic. All without the need to buy a clunky plastic instrument.
This latest update addresses the player feedback over the past months and updates a ton of gameplay. A new scoring system, combo system, interactive environments, tutorials, and upgraded graphical design are included. However, the most important features in this game are also getting a makeover.
Guitar, Drums, Load Up, Stun
Probably one of the most important parts of any musical game is how it feels playing the instruments. It would seem that the folks over at IMEX Media agree and have been taking a good long look at their drums and guitar modes. The patch rolls out all new gameplay, for both, that is aimed at a natural and intuitive feel.
Unfortunately, we still don’t have a scoring system in place for the vocals gameplay. However, that and many more features are still in the works, including Steam Workshop support. You can pick up your copy of RIFF VR and start on your path to rock stardom for $13.99. That is 30% off the regular price, until July 9. RIFF VR is available for the Rift, Vive, and only requires your motion controllers to play.
