It has been about a year now since VR players began to boldly go where no man has gone before. You faced down many threats and had a good laugh along the way. However, the work of Starfleet’s best and brightest is never over and command has new orders for you and your crew. Your mission is simply known as, Star Trek: Bridge Crew The Next Generation DLC.
As one of the most requested DLC’s for Bridge Crew, The Next Generation DLC will add a wide range of series related content. The Enterprise (NCC-1701D) bridge is just the beginning. Players will now be faced with not only the Romulan threat, but also the most feared force known to the Federation. The Borg.
Beeps and Boops
The new DLC will also change the way some of the original content is played. After reviewing copious amounts of player feedback, the developers at Red Storm Entertainment have focused in on what players loved, and hated about Bridge Crew. Gone is the engineering position, with the all new “Operations” designation taking its place. This roll will focus on crew management and getting the most out of ship buffs.
Two new Ongoing Voyages are also being delivered. Known as “Resistance” and “Patrol” type missions, they make full use of the newly increased available universes, utilized by the mission generator. “Resistance” missions will have players searching for prototype anti-Borg weapons, while being pursued and eventually confronting a Borg Cube.
Changes have also been made to the way players are scored at the end of a mission. While sub-objectives will still net you higher scores, if you manage to complete the missions’ primary objective without doing them, the crew will still get a positive rating.
