Space. It’s dark, massive, and generally void of life. It’s not far-fetched to think that when you do come across new life forms, you probably want to sit back and check them out a bit. That is just what the crew of the Espial Space Station found themselves tasked to do. That is, until their signal went dark. So, pack your bags and put on your investigation cap. You’re going to go find out what went down on The Station.
This first-person sci-fi mystery game, launched on February 19, but the developers feel it would be a natural fit for PC and PlayStation VR platforms. Form the looks of the trailer, it is hard to disagree. What better way to search a spooky spaceship for clues, potentially left by the dead crew or blood-thirsty aliens, than through an HMD?
Who Done It
As a recon specialist, your mission is to find out what happened to the crew of the Espial. You know that they are a stealth research station that was tasked to monitor a newly discovered alien species. Unfortunately, it would seem that the aliens are engaged in a massive war that reveals their savage nature. That is about the time that the Espial’s stealth fails, and transmissions with the station abruptly end.
You will need to uncover the clues left behind by the crew and overcome any obstacles that keep you from finding the truth. Was it the blood-thirsty aliens, or perhaps a case of space madness brought on by dwindling chicken vindaloo supplies? You will have to solve the puzzles of the Espial to find out.
In addition to the story mode, players can now play a “Free Explore” mode that removes the need to solve puzzles or find keys to locked doors. This should be perfect if your idea of a good time is creepy spaceship exploration. While the game can be picked up right now for $14.99, VR support will not be included until Q3 of this year. We will be sure and update you as new information becomes available.
