Some of you may remember our coverage of The Exorcist: Legion VR back in October. The project, taken on by none other than Wolf & Wood Interactive, was scheduled for release in time for Halloween. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite make that deadline. This wasn’t due to the development teams sudden horrific demise or demonic possession.
Simply put, Wolf & Wood wasn’t completely satisfied and wanted to make sure that VR gamers got what they deserved. Well, it would appear that we will soon be finding out just what hell awaits us. November 22nd marks the launch of the first two chapters of this nightmarish saga. Best of all, they won’t cost you an arm and a leg, or even your soul.
Chapters 1 & 2
The first two chapters, First Rites and Idle Hands, will be launching on the same day. Both will be available on the Vive and Oculus, with PlayStation support coming down the road. Chapters 1 & 2 will only cost $4.99 each, available on Steam and Oculus Store, and will run about 20 – 25 minutes each. Of course, the game will also have hidden content and Easter eggs to extend gameplay.
Each chapter will have its own unique demonic force that you will be investigating a battling as you learn the trade of demonic exorcism. You will get to hunt for powerful relics, uncover the dark truth of your new reality, and fear for your mortal soul all that the same time.
I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t excited for this one. As a fan of the franchise, I can only hope that this lives up to the name. Available November 22nd, you can pick up the first chapter at a 20% discount. Only $3.99 to dip your toes into the legions domain? If that user agreement is in Latin, I’m going to be very suspicious.
