Delirium Studios and Pyrolite Games brings some good old-fashioned gun slinging to the Gear VR. Unforgiven VR, the old west style dueling game for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, is now going mobile. Much like it’s PC counterpart, players will go head to head for glory and cash with others players around the globe.
The studio has said that the new Samsung Controller has made it possible to successfully port the game to the GearVR. The game will be on display at the Barcelona Games World next week and Delirium Studios encourages attendees to stop by and give the game a shot.
Fist Full of Dollars
Launching on Steam back in February, the game has seen mixed reviews but continues to make regular updates. Recent changes make a players’ wanted poster, used for matchmaking, view-able even if the player isn’t online. I like the idea of being called out to a duel at any moment.
Another change was small but promising. The sun can blind the players during a duel if they are not mindful, and remember to adjust their hats. That little bit of attention to detail goes a long way in VR.
The game has four playable characters, AI or player matchmaking, leaderboards and training grounds. You can call out other players and challenge them for cash or collect the reward for killing them. You will need that to buy ammo, among other things. If your character is injured, it will impact your performance in the next duel. If you die, you have to start your journey all over again.
No release date or price has been announced for the GearVR version of the game. But, the PC version is available on Steam for $9.99.
