Oculus has had their free weekend campaign going on for a little over a month now. Each weekend, Oculus Store users have had access to one choice game for the weekend, absolutely free. It has been a great way to test out VR games that might be outside your normal genre, and this weekend The Unspoken is taking its turn.
In Insomniac Games’ dueling wizard game, you face off against other players in 1v1 magic based combat. The action is fast paced and can get pretty technical when you go up against an experienced caster. The game also features a great single player campaign that has you blasting demons and rogue acolytes all over Chicago. Check out our full review of The Unspoken for more information.
Right now, The Unspoken sits at a $29.99 price point and that is somewhat high for a game that has been out for over a year. Granted, it did receive a major update last December that introduced the new single player content. Not to mention, that content left the game wide open to further content down the road. But, is the asking price worth what you get?
In my opinion, absolutely. This is one hell of a ride and best of all, you don’t have to take my word for it. You can try it for free starting at 12:00 PC CST on March 8, until 2:00 AM CDT March 12. Don’t forget to jump into some multiplayer action after you work your way through the campaign. Just remember to cast while you’re talking trash!
