A lot of us have been waiting in earnest for November 17th – the release date of Bethesda’s Skyrim VR. As you probably know by now, the full Skyrim game is coming to PlayStation VR in a week’s time and this will probably be one of, if not the largest release for VR to date. Now that day is finally around the corner and Sony has announced that they’re bundling the game in with a PlayStation VR headset, PlayStation Camera, and two PlayStation Move controllers.
This bundle includes the new Playstation VR headset since Sony has stopped producing the old one (old being a relative term here). The new headset features an updated design that enables the stereo headphone cables to be integrated with the headset. It also has a slimmer, streamlined connection cable, and a new Processor Unit that supports HDR pass through. Besides the hardware, the bundle includes the full Skyrim VR game as well as all the DLC’s including, Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn – all remastered for VR. And if that isn’t enough, the bundle also includes an updated PlayStation VR Demo Disc. The Disc has demos from 13 other VR games to get through if you really have time to spare between slaying dragons and looting everything between Riften and Solitude.
If you’re interested in buying the PlayStation VR Skyrim Bundle, it will launch alongside the game on November 17 in the U.S. for $449.99 USD and in Canada for $579.99 CAD. You can also pre-order the bundle now if you want to make sure you get your hands on one. So far the bundle has only been announced for North America.
Though if the mountains of Skyrim isn’t quite your pace, keep in mind that the wastes of Fallout 4 VR and the red planet of Doom VFR are coming to virtual reality as well this December.
Sony Interactive Entertainment has also released a new video to promote the bundle:
